Description
Digital, Corel Painter, 2014.This started out as meditative doodle to break away from other commissioned projects that sucked all creative joy out of me. I think it ended up as something quite more than "just" a doodle.
I hope you like it, and if you do then don't hesitate to let me know. My motivation is fed by any attention I can get.

Contemplative and nostalgic (your work triggers that in me). As always, remarkable shading and concept....cheers!!!!!!

Upon first glance, I thought it looked like a swamp creature due to the scales in the leaf shape and what appears to be spores flaking off of the pseudo-beard. After I magnified it, it appeared to be more of an elemental-like being due to the subtle glow coming off of the re lines reminding me of lava running through the cracks of hardened lava. It's an interesting piece that looks like something different each time I look at it. The amount of detail has me finding something new about it every time. Great work. I'm glad this doodle turned into something more.

Wow, thank you very much! It's really interesting to hear peoples thoughts on my art, especially when there is some sort of analyzis and attempts to define what's going on. Usually i try not to decide what something is supposed to be, and rather just let it become whatever it can be. What i do tend to decide on is mood and expression. This one is sort of serene, weird, dark, elegant and beautiful, which is what i felt like creating.

I was just trying to define what I was seeing and thinking.
I think that's just a thing I got used to from taking art classes xD

This is (to me) reminiscent of the layers of a mushroom, growing on the side of a tree. Love it!

I love the red light from below. As well as the fluidity of his body. It's definitely more than just a doodle and you shouldn't lose motivation, your art is beautiful.

Hehe... Well, when I do it always ends up being a distorted and twisted face/body. It's easier for me, but I don't go out of my comfortzone.

i think distorted bodies look cool (as long as theyre drawings lol) and it seems that your comfort zone is working for you!
