Umbilical penis tree. Amazing. Is it normal to have six nuts? I love how innocent it looks. This sort of depicts humanity to me because we are odd creatures with strange desires, and we make up even stranger excuses for the things we do that we don't understand---like licking anything that's red. I also love how the toes and fingers look dead or decaying. I actually wouldn't mind to see more art of creatures like this---as if they were a race or species. That would be fantastic!
A few days ago, I just began listening to a band called When Saints Go Machine and now all of your art reminds me of songs by that band, and all of the songs by that band remind me of your art; especially this picture and their song "Parix." Whenever I listen to them, I want to rush to your gallery because somehow their music makes sense when put to your art and vice versa.

Haha... Thank you! I don't believe I put all that much thought into it when I was making it. I just had the idea of a head looking sort of like a bird's nest and then expanded on that.
The nuts are acorns, which in swedish are called "ekollon", "ek" meaning oak and "ollon" is actually also the swedish word for the tip of penis.
I actually have some "When saints go machine" in my itunes-library, but haven't listened all that much.

Whatever you thought while making this, it's very thought provoking in other people, and that's what makes this so amazing. This is my favourite kind of art--and that's really amazing. I've been learning Swedish and didn't know that!

Like I said, I haven't really listened all that much. The album I have is called "Ten makes a face". I played it a few times, but didn't care too much for it. I mean, there was a song or two that I liked and that made look them up to begin with. But I can't remember which ones. I consume waaay too much music, hehe... Only a fraction really stays with me.
I do feel that art should be emotionally stimulating in some way. Not just pretty, not just intelectual, but really emotionally direct. That's why I tend to paint characters/faces/bodies, because everyone understands bodylanguage and facial expressions.

I do the same thing, I have to have a whole new playlist every week, and I hardly stay with anything. But I listen to only a song or two off an entire album--I play them on grooveshark so I don't require a whole album, usually.
I think you do a really good job of that, and I'd like to be as good at portraying emotions as you one of these days. ^^

That Lucifer-pineapple soda piece has a great tone, mixing the a cute and cartoony style with a saucy and provocing tone. Contradictive expressions and emotional contrasts like that is what I usually like and try to create myself.

Haha... I don't have much of a hidden agenda. Stuff just happens in my pieces. I needed to put the hand somewhere and I couldn't execute my first idea, because I lacked the patience and skill, so I made a compromise that became weird. The glossy thing is just me wanting to push the shading/highlighting further. Sometimes I go to far, but it's just very addictive to keep doing that.

Your art is always so interesting, but I can't watch it when anyone's around my room cause they don't get it.
Your art is kinda like something that doesn't look like much at first but it's so interesting to stare and then you're like, hey this is actually kinda interesting.
Maybe it's just me but I think that this kind of art should be appreciated too because it's special there's nothing better than originality and you're original. That's why I like ur stuff.
