Wow great use of shadow here. Al the values are soft and fits well with the piece as a whole. Good use of atmospheric value.

Stunning use of light and texture. The vague, dusty light that bathes the lizard is rather majestic; combined with the darkness that seeps through the top of the piece, the attention is very much attracted to the lizard.
The high-contrast way of the shading works very well to highlight the form of the creature; the convincing textures and bright, warm colours add on to this lovely portrayal.
Though, most notably, I'd say that the level of detail in this piece is exploited very nicely. From immaculate intricacy on the facial features of the reptile to slightly blurred texture on the body to vague patterns on the tail, the shift of detail along with the form of the creature captures of the audience's eyes to wind through the entire piece. Of course, it also applies focus to the lizard's more prominent features such as the claws and head, which both captivate me a lot.
Awesome work!
