The thought behind this image is as good as the image itself. A young boy with a wooden sword facing the unknown looking for that grand thing called Adventure. I LOVE THIS

This picture tells an amazing story that is about to begin - the first step in a great journey and it's kind of nostalgic of the imagination that you have when you're a child as well, especially with the attic setting

This is beautiful and very well done but to be quite honest I like the original from 2006 a lot better. There was somehow more innocence to it. More of a mystery... Something like a fairytale land. This doesn't feel as magical to me.
The artwork itself is, of course, impeccable as usual.

Oh, I didn't even try to surpass the original artwork. Wouldn't have been possible I guess. I just wanted to give a nod to the original "The Journey Begins" and create a connection between the artwork from 2006 and the story.

I was so excited to see this shot in issue two!! Equally as beautiful as the original painting and such a great image that embodies the very essence of that imaginative kid within us all. Adventure Awaits!! LOVE IT!

Wow. Dark outside, bright thru the painting. He's thought this out at least a little, a wooden sword, string to get home, a pack full of something. The cat. A room stuffed to the rafters with imagination.

Yor pictures are really great, I am also trying to find a way to my own comic. I have an idea but do not really know how to move on. I like the composition in your pictures, colors and lines.
