I decided to color this for fun, and since I did a series of these, I've developed a format in which I post a drawing and a quick summary of my experience with the character (design, voice acting, etc.)in terms of Batman the Animated Series(largely its first incarnation). So, logically, first up is the Dark Knight Detective himself.

This is a really definitive Batman take. He's dark, cold, and strikes from the shadows, but isn't excessively grim and gritty like some other portrayals. This Batman is a likable character, which I find really important.

I really like Bruce Timm's first design, as it's a great blend of all of the classic looks that came before it. My favorite DCAU Batman look would have to be the Justice League incarnation, which I'll probably draw in the near future, but this one is a great starting point.

Kevin Conroy IS Batman(at least, the Batman that I know and love). His casting is on par with Christopher Reeve as Superman. He's been praised so much in the past, and will continue to be in the future. I don't think I've ever heard anyone say that they hate his vocal performance.

Batman is owned by DC Comics, and was created by Bill Finger and Bob Kane. This style and design was developed by Bruce Timm. This drawing is owned by me.
