Yes around Barcelona...
but,s very hard to say what Catalonia is.
Our country is politically part of Spain, but we, the Catalans, do not consider us like Spaniards. That is reason why I have put "unknown" in the country box...
(but...this is a political thing, not about ART...).

We here, my famely are known with the political issue off Catalonia.
So respect. Think, by the way, that art and politics often go's together. Artists paint there thoughts, there feelings. So...If it's that important to you, you can express your idea's through art. But, that's up to you. We should feel free to draw and paint as we like. So we can enjoy.
I'm from the North of Belgium.. almost in The Netherlands.

Very nice to know that you understand my political situation.
Of course, much of the aggressiveness that reflect my illustrations is due to this situation.
Ah! I've been several times in the Northern Belgium, in Dessel. I go every year to Graspop Metal Meeting...wow, what an amazing festival!!

Graspop... Dessel; 15/20min. driving from my place. I have some friends living there. And yes, it's wellknown. As all the other festivals Belgium has, as Pukkelpop, Tommorowland..Werchter.. and so on. You can tell by looking at your art, that you like Metal. And I think it's a good thing you can express your more aggressive feelings through your art. That way you can let it go.. giving it a possitive turn.
And you're good at it!
For me.. It seems all the portraits I make turn out to have these soft and happy expression in there eyes. ^^
How do you start a drawing? Do you think about it before? Or does it just comes out...not knowing before how it will grow..what it will become?

Yes, I'm Metal. I like Metal music and its way of life.
About drawing...usually I have a little idea about the final work. But always, while I'm drawing and painting, the first idea changes a lot. Usually, the result surprises me...

Yes, that's a good description of a drawing process.

About the Metal way of life ... it's difficult to say what is it.
surely, everyone will say something different. But everything is based on a loyal love in our musical style and approach to life based on its most dark and fantastic way. This may seem a more characteristic of adolescents, but the truth is that we, the Metal people, are like eternal teenagers.

Ok... teenager , you got a great technique! Wich pencils are you using? I'm working with 'Karisma', made in USA Berol. Here they don't sell them anymore.. I'll have to find new one's soon.

Ah! I use the same brand of pencils. But Karisma has disappeared as a brand. Karisma now known as Prismacolor. Through Internet is easy to buy Prismacolor pencils. www.prismacolor.com
