Description
I was running as fast as I could. Why did it take me so long to find teh note? Why? I knew he was somewhat suicidal but I didn't knw that he'd actually try and go through with it. I kept running, hoping and praying that I got there quick enough. I didn't want to see my best friend, no he was more than my best friend in my eyes, dead.

The flight of stairs seemed endless. Why did he have to pick a building with no elevator? 'So you wouldn't make it on time,' said the little voice in the back of my head. No, I would make it. I would. Tha tput some speed into my step as I ran on. I could see the door.

Three feet away...
Two feet away...
One foot away...

I slammed open the door. It flew on its hinges and hit the wall. It started to bounce back but I caught it. I bent over, huffing an puffing. I caught some of my breath and looked up.

He was standing there on the edge of the roof, his red hair shining in the sun. He was still in his school uniform.

I called his name. He looked back at me with his sad green eyes; the eyes that used to shine with happiness around me. The happiness was gone.

He said that he was sorry and looked into my eyes. I was screaming; telling him not to do it. He had tears in his eyes; I was full out crying.

He waved his hand and took a step while still looking at me. I saw his eyes widen as he started to plumit.

I sat there in shock for five minutes. I heard other people screaming below me. I walked over to the side of the building; couriosity got the better of me. I looked down adn saw it.

His body was bloody, mangled, and broken. I cried some more. I knew that I couldn't live without him. He was the only person that kept me sane.

I took one last look at his dead body and then looked to the sky. Storm clouds had rolled in and it thundered.

"WHY?" I screamed up to the sky. The rain started to pour out of the clouds. This was my que.

I stepped on the roof ledge. The people gathered below either gasped or screamed. I wasn't really paying attention. I was too focused on my thoughts.

I closed my eyes and took a step. I could feel myself pulmitting and then imense pain. Then, I felt nothing.

I had died.
