Some magic ritual going on out in the swamp.

This is nice too! Good lighting, beautiful colors and I also like the idea of a ritual that uses tree trunks in a swamp. Trees in a swamp are always a symbol for decay and dead to me and therefore it would fit to use their last spark of life as a ritual source. Could be a nice plot idea as well

This is very cool. Excellent sense of raw power under control. I like the way the plume colours go from yellow-orange to pale with distance. Effective composition, too. The wizard dude is really camouflaged there in the distance; my eye wants to focus immediately on the big plume in the front and more or less stay there. I don't know if that's the effect you were going for, but consider some more contrast around the wizard; something as simple as making the glowing hands a bright, saturated yellow-orange would help a lot, since everything else around there is a distance pale. I like the way the wizard is set off in the distance; it gives the scene a strong sense of depth and big-ness. Nice work!
