Description
Driving the mako in Mass Effect up steep cliffs wasn't easy.Β When I first got the game and read reviews about how the mako was difficult, I thought they were exaggerating.Β When you get in a situation like this the only thing you can do is radio the normandy for help.Mass Effect (C) Bioware

I miss the Mako!
Am I the only one who actually prefers it to the hover tank?

Naw, I prefer it too.
Being able to jump and actually control the car makes it less fun.

But it is fun to bounce about and see how many stunts you could do while your poor squadmates screamed in terror, or at least I imagined they were. Try doing back flips, those are awesome. Popping wheelies isn't so hard and jumping off high cliffs is even more fun. The hammerhead's okay, but it's not the Mako.

Oh! I commented before I saw this. I'm glad I'm not the only one who prefers the Mako.

True that. One of the wheels is always broken and flashing red by the time I'm done. The only problem is when I want to be serious and get to my destination and I can't get up the cliff, I just slide back down. ;_;
The Hammerhead could never beat the Mako. :F

You have to strafe the mountain like your cross-country skiing, as annoying as that it is, you'll eventually find foot holes or parts of land that the Mako can grip on to make your way up a mountain. And keep the engine gunned, you let up even a little bit and the mako slides down. Wiggle the direction stick a bit too, cause going side ways on a steep slope is easier than going straight up Always keep an eye out for easier ways to get up the slope and don't be afraid to use the boost. Also, the Mako is impervious to all damage except lava or whatever pool of stuff your not supposed to drive into and enemy weaponry. I've fallen off enough cliffs to know.

Yeah, but it gets tedious.
And even when you're catious and plan out your path, you still fall down sometimes :F
It's good falling doesn't affect the Mako or mine would have blown up many times by now.
