Description
Modelling a human face in 3d is the most challenging effort. My goal is not too create a super realistic face but more like a sculpted one. Modelled, textured, and rendered in Softimage.Related content

this image reminds me of a terracotta face that I made last semester in art class, but unfortunately, i have yet to take a picture of it and it doesn't even compare to your work on this piece. well done and i will surely fav this on, despite it is really out of my style.....its interesting

nice comments! thank you much!!.. wish i could take a look at your terra stuff.. i can't do sculpting in real world, so yours must be a lot better than this generic 3d!

Awesome. The lighting/shadow, texture, and depth of field are perfect.
I know what you mean about modeling a 3d face...I tried it with clay
and it was very difficult (unfortunately it shattered the kiln, now I need
to try and make a picture out of the pieces at least)

Good combination of darks and lights, and excellent work on the surface textures, looks better than a lot of professionally-produced animated films.
