The lotus is my favorite flower for many reasons.
I made this doodle a while ago to practice a few different techniques, aaaand I guess still need more practice lol. Story of my life. Prints of this piece are available here!

This is far too beautiful to be called a mere "doodle."
I really like drawing on colored paper myself, but my work isn't even half as good as this. I love how bright and colorful it is. The blending of the colors is so smooth, it's hard to believe it's colored pencils. And the sparkles, I love the sparkle effect here. I always love the effect of white gel pen on colored paper. ^^ And I'm envying your wonderful inking skills. How do you ink so smoothly and perfectly? That's always been a struggle for me.

Getting smooth lines is always a struggle, but it really just amounts to lots of practice and a steady hand. Approaching lines with confidence helps as well, I tend to mess up more if I'm anxious about everything being perfect >>'
