Yes very emotive! A well done animal shot. Esspecially the depth of field keep the eye on the expressive part of the picture. Additionally the ball and the stuff in the background help to stop the picture from becoming dull. The only thing I'd change is to increase brightness and conmtrast a bit. Right now you got a lot of middle and some dark tones, but are missing the lower hightones. The highlights are good, but a bit more general light would help to increase and smooth the tonal range. Still a very well done dog shot Esspecially for a b&w

Thank you for that. Sorry about the long delay, but I appreciate you comments. I am going to look at the contrast levels again to see if I can improve this photo. Thanks again!!

My pleasure!

The shot of the dog in very interesting. The shot of the ball is not!. Try to remove those things that take away from the true shot.

I have a shot of just the ball. Would that work?

I raise guide dog puppies for SEGDI and they use vizslas in their program.
I love them

Don't they have the funniest personalities? I laugh all the time. What is SEGDI?

SEGDI- Southeastern Guide Dogs Inc.
It's a guide dog school in FL.
They do, and they're definately lap dogs [even though some are a bit bigger than they think]

Haha. Yeah, they're funny that way. That sounds like a cool organization. I've never heard of Vizslas doing anything like that.

Cool pic... very cool. I know what that doggy is saying to herself too... she's saying in so many words ... I mean ear twiches and face wrinkles.

I don't usually enjoy pet pics but this is a different kind. This is well designed and captured. If it was a postcard or on a mug, I'd buy it!

Aww, she's adorable. Usually pictures of animals drive me nuts because the majority of dA photographers seem to take a quick snap of their pet and just post. This looks like you've put thought into it! I like how you've taken this at floor level and made her face the sole focus of the image. And yes, she is quite emotive. Such liquid, warm eyes
