Chibi-fied Wilhelm polishing his Compass of Doom, which vaguely resembles the Compass of Order and Chaos only it's lumpier and comes in different colors and has flamey chicken scratch stuff instead of fancy ancient text >.>;...Stupid compass.
character and compass were stolen from Xenosaga
and redrawn by ~DannyCam
with colored pencils/ball-point pen/printer paper.
ha, the paper this was drawn on has issues, like, it got wet or something, but I had other stuff on my mind and started drawing on it anyway, and then I kept going 'dude what is up with this paper??' ha...
then my scanner went all stupid and put streaks thru the pic, I scanned it a dozen times and it didn't go away, so I just moved the paper up so the pic would be scanned in the section without streaks. so then it got crinkled when I closed the scanner lid.
ha.
anyway, I don't now how that was important.

oh I love them. I love the art or whatever, how the characters are designed like anime, instead of trying to make them realistic.

it's kinda of hard to understand, though. it's got a lot of sci-fi/religious stuff mixed up with junk they made up, so some of it is complicated. but I still love them, I play them for the characters.

mine are on PlayStation 2, but I have heard they are also on Nintendo DS somewhere, they are in Japan, but I'm not certain if they made DS for America or not.

his compass thingy sits on his desk all the time and it's allways dark there and all you can see is just the green blob thing spinning around, nothing else really shows up unless you squint, most of the time. if I whipped out my camera on it, it wouldn't show up.
and the menu thing on the beginning of XS 3 where it sits there and spins with the logo has like, random scenes from the game flashing behind it instead of just being white. it annoys me to death, cuz you can't tell what's going on in the scenes because of the logo being in the middle of the screen TT.
but I don't think I could steal it with my camera <.< I thought about trying, but it would take so many frames to get the spinny effect that I'm sure it would be too big to make a DA icon out of when I got it done, if it even worked >.>

yeah before I read your icon I was watching it and I was like whoa, cool...
somebody I know has the opening of FMA where Mustang snaps his fingers and makes fire, it's kinda like that.
I want something like that too, but my GIF animator will mess up the colors. I wanted Jr doing his one thing in XS 1 where before he shoots it shows him aiming at you for a second.
or the Durandal with its wings spinning.
with my camera I just plug it into the computer and a thing comes up automatically and I push to view files or whatever, then copy/paste to my desktop
my camera tends to mess up colors just a bit sometimes, especially if the background is black or really dark.
and it catches that invisible line that goes up your TV from bottom to top over and over that you can't see when you watch TV TT+

yeah, ask them, usually ppl just make them for fun and post them online for ppl to use, and I guess some fanclubs have them up for you to use.
some ppl flat out steal icons, which I don't think is right. if they say you can have it then sure, but if you just copy-paste their icon without asking....>>....
my other friend copy/pastes them, but I don't guess she uses them. instead she takes pics off DA and copy/pastes them and makes THEM into icons. THAT bugs me...

and oh my gosh, somebody drew Zero from Megaman X dressed up as Cloud from FF7AC, and they had it for sale in the DA shop!!
that is just NOT cool at all, selling somebody else's characters. if you pay Square Enix and Capcom 50% of your profit then fine, but that ain't right. Ppl would only buy it for the character, not because of how good you drew it, they just want a pic of that character because they liked the anime/game/etc, and the person that created them isn't getting anything for it!
I hope DA nails them, they said they don't look over the stuff you put in the shop until someone tries to buy it, THEN they decide if it is sellable or not, and if it's not they tell the buyer they can't have it.
I hope if someone does try to buy something like that DA flips out on them <<. I'm pretty sure they said that if you put it in the shop you're saying you created the character you drew.

One, i can't draw good enough.
Two, i don't have permission from Squeenix/whoever to do their characters.

hm. yeah, it's been completely redesigned to a lot more than just taking out the knife.
in that scene there you don't seen anything cuz everything is just black.
I like it better the way it is in my game.
the ppl that made the Japanese version might have decided it sucked that way and redid it themselves, instead of the dubs changing it.
I don't really care, I don't have the energy to devote my life to picking out every single tiny detail they changed when they dubbed it. I did that with YuGiOh and I lost interest in the show. It was my favorite anime ever and I spent so much time trying to see what the dubbers changed that I got tired of it.
I really don't care anymore. I like these games whether they were edited or not. If they were changed, then the dubs must have done a good job cuz I like the stupid thing anyway.

if you like anime you just flat out have to accept that there are 3 versions of everything, the English anime, the Japanese anime, and the manga, and they're all different. sometimes you just flat can't go around finding out every single little thing that was changed.
it's stupid when ppl complain about the differences in the English/Japanese versions anyway, because it's almost guaranteed that the Japanese version changed things from the manga.

I must be thinking of a different scene than you because the one I'm thinking off he didn't use a knife <<. he doesn't have his hand free TO use a knife, they would have had to reposition his hands completely.
I don't see how you could edit XS, I mean they edited the blood out of YuGiOh, but it's anime, you just draw in what you want. XS is CGI, I don't see how they can edit that, it would be really difficult.
