Description A European Magpie gathering straws for it's nest. They are very shy towards humans.

I had to hide away a bit to stay out of sight of these birds to capture this.

European Magpies belongs to the crow-family and have only one partner in their life, and they cooperate making this nest. One of them was on the roofs and the other (in the photo) was gathering the straws.

As soon as I came into view the one on the roof made a noise and the other one left, great team work isn't it?

I was surprised to find out they were a part of the crow-family because they actually look quite good compared to the black/greyish birds in the crow-family
