A wolfspider actually got into a territorial dispute with my dad over a half foot square area of a table once. It was silly to watch this tiny thing rear up and wave his legs around all 'RAWR MACHO' like.

Ooh it waves it's "hand" *adore* I love spiders. I just can't hold them on my hands, they tend to tickle me and then I shake my hand and the spiders is flying Oo Exept I don't like this spider looking things (Weberknechte) that can throw their legs of if someone touches them *traumatic childhood experience with a living leg* XD nice one

This is a great shot. just wondering are these spiders venomous?? we don't have them in Ireland and they look pretty big

I don't think they are venomous, or at least venomous enough to seriously injure a human. They should be all throughout Europe though.
Remember this is taken with a macro lens so the actual spider is just a little bit bigger than a ladybird
