Photography memes are everywhere on the net. But I haven't seen one yet on Street Photography... so I created one

Don't get me wrong, I do love memes and this is a great one, but it doesn't belong on DA.
I'm not going to go in to all the serious claimer-ship reasons that most people do.
All I feel is that DA set up guidelines. And that us, as people who use the site(usually for free), should read and follow the rules out of simple respect. This site offers so much for artist and it's just seems to be the right thing to do.
But like I said I do like your meme and you should defiantly put it around the web. Just on sites that are meant for this sort of fun.

Even memes, and especially this (awesomely humorous) one, is a form of art. Besides, this one is more a expression of himself than that it's made to be a meme. So, in my opinion, it belongs here too. It might be a meme, but it's his art.

Yes it is his art. I'm not disputing that. And if it was up to me I would completely accept it.
But as much as it is his art, it still violates deviantART Terms of Service that all Deviants agreed to when first join the website.
deviantART respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of the Service to do the same. At deviantART's discretion and in appropriate circumstances, deviantART may remove Your Content submitted to the Site, terminate the accounts of users or prevent access to the Site by users who infringe the intellectual property rights of others.[link] Section I:5
Basically, the photos he used are not his intellectual property, therefore he is not allowed to use them on DA. He agreed to that when he checked the little check mark when he made his account. Same as all the rest of us.
I am not saying all this to be mean, or condescending. All I wanted to do was alert him(in a kind, non-accusatory way) as to why people were yelling at him to take down his work. And why it will probably be taken down by admins at some point.
I understand your point, but these are the facts. Please no anger directed to me; I didn't make the rules, I'm just acting as the messenger.

I'm not angry in any way, don't worry. I just kinda missed your point about copyright. And, I guess you're right. Maybe, if he'd have been really creative, he had made those pictures himself. Or, at least, searched them om deviantART, and credited the proper authors.

I think Z was a bit obnoxious in the way he spoke to you but I have to agree that this isn't the place for memes and the fact that none of those photos are yours doesn't help. You didn't know so it's no biggie but it'd be appreciated if you kept that in mind for the future as this is meant to be an art site

You have to have permission from all of these photographers or deviantart admins will delete this image or threaten to ban you or even worse- lock down EVERY single photo of yours demanding "permission forms".
The administration takes copyright violations here very seriously.
It can take up to a few months for admins to get to a report about a single image, but when they do they WILL SUDDENLY lock down your entire gallery. I'm warning you of this because it happened to one of my friend photographer on here.
You've signed a contract when you've joined this site. Please respect this contract and rights of other photographers.

It's an art site. You're putting work on the site under your name. Your meme (like all the other ones out there) is amusing. But this isn't the site for it. Post it to Facebook. It'll get around. Or put it in your scraps. Or post credit to the photographers. While the idea for the "street photographer" concept may be your idea, the work you used isn't. Some of us are trying to keep dA from becoming another FB.

If it's an art site then why do we have a fanfiction category? It's DeviantART not DeviantWrite. XD We have fanfiction and fictionpress for that. The user did it for humor. He could put it in scraps to avoid trouble. Or...put it in the memes category to avoid trouble as well.

I've looked at your work as well. You have really beautiful photos. I especially like the McAfee portraits.
I'm really surprised, then, that you would willy nilly use other people's photographs. I would recategorize this photo in the Fan Art-> Cartoons and Comics -> Digital - > Miscellaneous section. By having it in the Photography -> street section, you're implying that it is your work.
