I consider that this picture is intended as a fashion picture, so the emphasis is on the t-shirt. In that respect this pic is top. I can almost feel the structure, it feels as a natural soft material. The folds are crisp. Too crisp for a portrait, but excellent for a fashion photo.
For this fashion photo the choice of the model is excellent. The model is cute, but for me not so overwhelming that he distracts. Just 'the boy next door'. His charming freckles make his skin textured too. That makes his skin go so well with the texture of the shirt. Nothing in this picture seems coincidental, so I praise teh coise of this model. His arms are positioned in a way that favour the shirt. His left arm is the basis for the shirt, his right arm puts the emphasis on his shoulder and muscled upper arm. The message for me is that his is a shirt for regular sportive young men who love natural material.
The choice for B&W is the best, all emphasis is now on the structure; otherwise there would be too much distraction.
My critique concerns his lips that are unnaturally dark as if they are feminine red in reality and that just doesn't seem to fit the person. And also the very light iris. It has been lightened in post-production. For a portrait it would have been fine perhaps. For a fashion photo it distracts from the subtle qualities of the shirt.
Overall an excellent fashion picture that does what it should do: make the piece of clothing attractive and feelable.

I was scrolling through the thousands of deviations in my watch, going through, liking an occasional image, saving something to my downloads, but really just attempting to purge through.
Then I saw this image. I stopped. I clicked and I saw it full size. And then it sat there. It just sat, for a few days. I never closed the window, just looked at it. I didn't comment, though I knew I wanted to. And I didn't (and still haven't) look at a single other picture in your gallery.
The model/subject is beautiful, that is undeniable. But I don't know if I've ever been more captivated by an image before. His framing/position is great, the shadows cast on the right side of his face provide a wonderfully mysterious and alluring look. Black and white suits this image perfectly. And I love his freckles - but I love how this image is SO SHARP but not sharper than it needs to be. Every hair on his arms, every stitch on his shirt, every freckle, looks perfectly placed. This is an image that I would have framed in my home, that I would never be able to walk past without glancing at, and if this was my own work, I would be exceptionally incredibly proud.
