Description New packs based on the movie props, from issue 5 of the Ghostbusters Ongoing! I hope everyone likes how the new packs look. Those cooling covers were quite the hazard

Swing over to your local shop and pick up a copy if you haven't, and don't forget to pre order issue 6 as well!

Cheers

Of course he does. Underneath that serious demeanor, Egon really cares for his friends.

I was literally just about to ask about why the switch to more accurate packs, but it seems my question has been answered.

Good it makes my next sculpting project a whole lot easier *rubs hands together deviously*

I'm assuming these are only released on the US? Because I'd like to get a gold of some copies, been seeing sample pages from you for quite some time now, and I'm really pleased with how fiathful it all looks even with this cartoon-ish look.

What's great about your stuff Dan is that the more I read these stories, I just enjoy how you've captured the expressions on the guys...aevry time I read them, I can picture the voice actors dubing over

It's great to see a personal challenge come out superbly. This and seeing Mr. Delgado's colors every issue, I always do an extra read through for these details.

Any chance we can get a post for Winston's pack (what was the name of it anyway?) from #4 (based on the EGB)? Seemed like a sweet combo of the EGB pack and the thrower looked like either his Proton Pistol or Egon's from the "Killjoy" episode.

are you going to one day put the design sketches of your new packs in the future issues?

I do like the new packs , but I also liked the old ones, they fit well with your character design. Any particular reason you changed them?

Does it make me a huge nitpicky loser that the packs not being based on the movie props kind of turned me off to the comic?

Love them too.

And who know the cooling covers presented a cancer risk? I had no idea!

Extremely dangerous. Also, Peter constantly complained about how heavy the old ones were

I thought so...LOL.

Yes, like around 50-60 pounds each (before) if I remember correctly.

Good question. I remember in the last level of The Video Game, Peter noted the experimental one weighed about 100 pounds.

100 pounds? Really.
Damn. That is heavy.

Yeah, but by the end of the game, Rookie's pack has all the options and those upgrades the player can buy - must add a bunch of weight to the pack... plus more cancer risk.

Love the movie accurate packs, but why the switch? I kinda assumed it was a licensing thing because if it weren't, you'd be drawing them like this in the first place, right?

(Not complaining or saying I didn't like the original designs, just curious is all.)

Good question! I wanted to not only give myself a challenge (I try to emulate the packs as close as possible), but I wanted to give Ghostbuster Fans the best that I could do. Accuracies with equipment is something that I'm aiming high for, while still adding in little personal touches. The previous packs were quite simple, and while fitting with the animated style well, weren't up to the caliber that I wanted to deliver. So nothing to do with licensing, just a personal endeavor Thanks to Erik and Luis for helping me too Cheers!
