Description
This is basically my character Tedd ( egscomics.com ) as some sort of transformation monster. Even moreso than Bowlbit and Croakapult ,this is MY creation. Nonetheless, it was somewhat inspired by Pokemon, which is owned by Game Freak and Nintendo. Note that Iβm referring to the monster version of Tedd and not Tedd himself here
Now, this is the part where I say "if Teddmon was a Pokemon, yadda yadda yadda", but Teddmon's moves would NEVER make it into Pokemon. This monster's initial design was to make breeding easier, and that alone would be enough to keep Nintendo from making something like it, but the transformation concept snowballed from there to the point where this pokemon would just be crazy to include. It's not super powerful, but it would be CRAZY to have it in the game and would be a programming nightmare.
Nonetheless, here we go. (* = made up move/ability)
Type - Psychic
Transformation Pokemon
Description: A creature capable of controlling both the forms and minds of others, there are those who consider it a menace and those who wish to control it for power and eternal youth. It is difficult to fully control, and thoroughly enjoys transforming both Pokemon and people. It is likely to playfully morph its own trainer somewhat often as a sign of affection (regardless of how the trainer reacts).
Teddmon controls form using its tail, and minds using the gem in its forehead. The tail can shoot both transformation beams and clouds of gas with transformation properties. It has been known to generate enough clouds to cause rain with transformation properties to fall. It generally only goes this far on prank holidays or if it feels wronged by a population, but people with various intents bottle the water and have been known to frame towns for bothering Teddmon in the hope of getting more.
Ability: Eager for Mischief*
Has double speed if using any transformation attack other than Trans Roulette. If using Trans Roulette, it always attacks first.
Teddmon would have average stats for everything but special defense and speed. Combat isn't its specialty anyway.
Default attacks:
Attract
Transform
Level up attacks (incomplete and in no particular order):
Stomp
Confusion
Confuse Ray
Hypnosis
Power Gem
Shrink Ray*
Growth Ray*
TG Ray*
TG Cloud*
Transform Ray*
Transform Cloud*
Devolve Ray*
Devolve Cloud*
Evolve Cloud*
Trans Roulette*
Ok, here we go with the *'s. Some of these moves can be used in the field like HMs, so I note "battle" and "field" if both apply. These moves can generally target both allies and foes, so it will be the exception if a move cannot.
Transform Ray
Randomly transforms the target into another Pokemon in the owner's "seen" pokedex and gives a moveset matching what that Pokemon would have in the wild. This only lasts while the Pokemon remains in battle (i.e. until they faint, are switched out, or battle ends), and would be one of those "only has five uses" moves.
Shrink Ray
Sharply reduces attack and defense of target, but also sharply increases evasion.
Growth Ray
Sharply increases attack and defense of target, but also sharply decreases speed and evasion.
TG Ray
Battle: Switches the target's gender so long as they remain in battle.
Field: Permanently switches the gender of one of your Pokemon. This would be very useful for breeding.
Devolve Ray
Battle: The target regresses to its pre-evolutionary stage so long as they remain in battle.
Field: Permanently regresses a Pokemon to its pre-evolutionary stage. It can re-evolve the hard way if it needs to, or via Evolve Cloud. If an item was used to evolve the Pokemon and it is holding nothing, it will be holding the item afterwards.
Evolve Cloud
Battle: All Pokemon in battle evolve to their highest stage of evolution (be it stage 2 or 3) while in battle. If multiple evolutions are possible, one is selected at random. This is considered a weather condition and would last five turns.
Field: If the target would've been able to evolve at their last level (IE they've met the level requirement but haven't evolved for some reason), this will evolve them. This has limited uses, but some would exist (such as a lvl 100 Squirtle).
The TG and Devolve clouds are just like the TG and Devolve rays, but cannot be used outside of battle, and are weather conditions that affect all the Pokemon in battle for five turns. The reason Evolve Cloud can be used outside of battle is simply due to their being no Evolve Ray.
Trans Roulette
Randomly use any of the above transformation attacks on a random target, which includes Teddmon.
Evolutions
I haven't drawn them yet, but Teddmon has a pre-evolution and a second stage. Neither of these, however, exist outside of battle. Teddmon can only evolve for the duration of battle via Evolve Cloud, and can only temporarily become its pre-evolution via a devolve move. As such, it is not immune to either evolution cloud, and may want to retreat after setting off the devolve cloud. Both these forms would be listed in the Pokedex as other forms for Teddmon (which it doesnβt do for Castform and I will never forgive Nintendo for that).
The pre-evolution would remain psychic, but the evolved form would be the only psychic-dark in the game (that I know of). I believe this would make its only weakness bug type while evolved, though bug type would do 4x damage to Teddmon.
One reason why Teddmon would be a programming nightmare is that some pokemon are either male or female and never male, which begs the question "what happens when those are hit with TG rays or clouds?" Realistically, they'd have to be immune, but forget that. This is a fake critter; it can do what the heck it wants, and it wants to wreak gender havoc!
In the case of monsters like Tauros and Milktank (different critters that are the male/female versions of each other), one would become the other. Therefore, Tauros becomes Milktank, Nidoqueen becomes Nidoking, etc. In the case of something that has no gender alternate but only has one gender anyway, the target would simply become an anomaly by being the only male or female of its species
EDIT: many have asked in the comments even after I actually answered the question in the comments, so here it is here: genderless pokemon would be immune to TG ray and cloud. This is similar to how Ellen's beam only made the Goo flinch in El Goonish Shive. Granted, I could make TG ray flinch genderless pokemon, but an attack that does no damage and causes flinch? What a horrible attack!
So, as you can see, I am a power nerd and nothing even close to this critter will be in Pokemon. Though if it WAS to become one, the water from its description could become items. This would make all the effects of the attacks available in item form (though there are no shrink/grow cloud attacks, a Teddmon could make such clouds). This would ALSO be an excuse to have shrink soda and have Amanda make a cameo ^_^
Also, I am AWARE that Teddmon looks similar to Mewtwo and/or some sort of devil thing. I still like how it looks! And pink is awesome!! Get off my back!!!

The sad thing is, pink is really Tedd's perfect color, and he's not even gay.

I'd say purple, really, but maybe its just because I'm used to that.
Dan, Teddmon is slightly scary to me, mostly because if EGS had a Pokemon crossover, I imagine Tedd would be too inclined to use his newfound abilites. Of course, I'm not saying that's really a bad thing.

A thought - what happens with genderless Pokemon like Ditto and the legendaries? ... And the fact that I am nerd enough to catch something like this where no one else seems to have... makes me so very happy.

Mew would look at Teddmon and say "oh, crap, what have they done with my DNA now?!"

That is several times funnier for anybody who's read fanfiction where the author gives every major character and a hidden civilization some Mew DNA. This is just the final indignity perpetrated upon the poor little guy's fossil hair.
Or her not-supposed-to-be-there womb, depending on which canon you endorse. The games are creepier than the show, there.

It's... too powerful!
I hope this thing is genderless, otherwise it could just use TG Ray followed by Attract... Cukeman mentioned team battles, what a plethora of nightmarish possibilities...
Oh, wait, I have a Magneton!
I wouldn't call it a programming nightmare, though. Most of it is just modifications of functions that are already there. Changing something to a random specie is pretty insane, though. Quite a game mechanic conundrum.
As for the one-gender-only critters... I don't even want to picture that.
Definitely a clever design.
Man... I remember thinking of a transformation-based Pokemon scenario back in the nineties... But you take the cake, good sir.

It has gender; that's the point of attract. However, not its lack of actual "attack" abilities. Short of TMs, it has confusion, stomp and power gem, only the weakest of which matches type. In order to guarantee attraction, it would have to devote two moves to attract and TG ray (TG cloud wouldn't really help attract and is a VERY novelty move).
So yeah, it's a potent combo, but it's sort of a "yeah, that's great, now what?" sorta thing.
