My worst fear realized. Actually, I guess I have worse fears than this. Honey badgers are pretty scary, what with being both a badger AND an internet meme.But whatever. Inspired by Michael Bay plotting to make the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles aliens. That means a species of humanoid turtles. With female turtles. Designed by Michael Bay.
Be afraid.
Be very afraid.
Unless you like this sort of thing. Then you need only fear the honey badgers.

Well, the movie didn't have any female alien turtles... But the movie was still nearly as bad as all those rumors made me fear.Β (Thank goodness the current animated series is doing things right.)
Incidentally, in response to all those people talking about Venus, I'd like to point out that Venus wasn't the first female ninja turtle. In Archie's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Adventures Special #11 (published several years before the Next Mutation) April was temporarily mutated into a turtle. It was actually pretty cool; they even gave her a very similar body shape to the TMNT (no shell-boobs for her!).

I'm not opposed to the concept of female turtles. Quite the opposite, I like the idea that the turtles might actually be able to find someone they can actually "be with".. plus, Turtle babies
But they need to stay mutants. At the core of the characters is the awkwardness of being different and hiding for fear of persecution. If they come on a ship, they'd have turtle guardians/mentors instead of Splinter... and even more importantly, without the ooze, how do you pull off giant talking rat?
Everything else aside. She makes an awesome pic!

First off, a female ninja turtle has already been done, and it failed hard. No one mentions Venus ever happened, nor will it ever happen again. Secondly, the Michael Bay recut does NOT depict the turtles as being aliens. Just because the origins of their existence is alien, does not make they themselves alien. The turtles are still turtles. The only thing alien about them is the ooze they mutated from, which was accidentally spilled from a waste compartment hatch on an invading alien ship... and who was the invading alien, you say? Krang. Yes, Krang. The brain looking thing inside that mechanical suit from the 80s cartoon. Krang is the only alien in this recut. Do some research before you knock this idea. It's actually not that terrible of an idea. Misconception is a virus these days.

I've googled the alien thing. It says that Bay's claims of the TMNT being aliens is just a misunderstanding of some sort. At least Michael Bay is not directing. He's just the producer.
