Description I read the Ico novel by Miyabe Miyuki recently and I really love old fantasy illustrations.
Based on a painting I've seen somewhere.

Looks a lot like some of the book covers from the 70s that I have - great work!

Oh the solitude in that piece! Is it "home at last" or "another day another fight"?
I really like this.

You have done a very good work with the colours in this one, very beautiful. I also like the minimalism of it.

Thanks for bringing back memories from that game. I loved it and played it to death. And you've caught some of that love here. It has been too long.

Nice work.... may I show my ignorance and ask which Tower?
Tolkien's? I recently finished Kings "Dark Tower" series and I don't think it applies to it... and I don't rule out one I'm unfamiliar with... like I am the work of Miyuki...
I also like the old fantasy illustrations...

It's not a specific tower ...
just a very clichΓ© subject in fantasy art and literature.
I wanted to do something clichΓ©, hence my comment about old fantasy illustrations.
There are so many pictures of someone looking at a tower or castle in the distance
and I think it is a perfect way to imply adventure and mystery.

And towers have always been an important subject in literature, metaphorically speaking.

I thought that might be the case, thanks for the confirmation...I also see that I didn't mention what a great job I think you did with the painting itself... love the texture and the lay of the fabric... and you didn't over do the sword... so many people see the sword as a sculpture and not a weapon... okay not getting ..into that that... sorry to ramble... peace
