I went for a more stylized approach on the painting and this is what happened.I took weeks to come up with this one. Several failed attempts in the bin and alot of head scratching over this. I wanted a pose that was going to show of Kerberos nicely - particularly his tail.
He's a Hell Wolf and his tail is webbed in the thickest part, he uses it to catch the bad souls and carry them down to the Underworld. When not using the web, Kerberos' tail is chained together.

The head was a nightmare to get right from a birdseye view - note to self work on head angles lol.

You can do the one side good but then the other just doesn't want to work with you!
I always find 3/4 and full face angles are my main problem. 3/4 angles, like, I can get the part of the face that you see the most of drawn fine but then that bit that is only a little bit shown I can't always get the angle of the cheek in the right shape and it tends to look odd...
