I was in an odd mood yesterday, doubting myself artwise and such.... It kindof inspired me to do another Syron piece, one where he's doing a little "soul searching" himself.He's descending a space elevator (if you can guess the game where this is from, you can have a cookie) and thinking....
Tried some new fx on the Hylex crystals this time.
I thought it was about time I drew Syron in my new style.

its a loooong story, but i was studying resonance in college and how it can create sound waves and then I thought of how you can get a crystal to resonate and create a sound like a speaker can. It was a wild theory idea I came up with to make a character that can command soundwaves via resonance. go figure

I control soundwaves throuugh subwoofers in my hands...
I ditch the gravity powers after finding out you use them, Only to find you have sound powers aswell D:

Don't worry, I'm feeling better now. I just felt inadequate yesterday, like I wasn't doing anything right. But that frustration made me dump all of it into this. xD

Once again the dark cell shading is so awesome it's blinding. I demand my eyesight back! How am I supposed to color like this!! Lol
But really, it's epic. I love the glow-like effects as well, and the crystals look really cool.
As for where the Space Elevator is from, I can think of a couple of games it could be from..but I don't want to feel stupid if I get it wrong =w=;

Your colouring never ceases to amaze me. It really baffles me how intense your background are. I love the space-y feel. It reminds me a bit of Metroid. Way great! The emotions are conveyed so clearly through both the actual expression of the character, and the colour choices, in my opinon. Fantastic work!
