Agree that I mislabeled it. But to be honest, I don't really care for the absolute classification for historical weapons. The line between a halberd and a pollaxe in those days was blurrier and definitely "classifications" were based on a same thing having different physical properties. Longer stick, longer reach. Shorter, easier to handle. Hammer, bash armor good. blade on end with hook, disarm at distance. Even in linguistics Pollaxe and Halberd don't have too dissimilar meanings.
I can compare Viking swords to Migration period Germanic sword to roman spathas to Greek xiphos and I can see a linear evolution of the same thing adapting for functionality for that time.
