Description The Spectre is the third installment in the Galactic Rangers series. The Spectre comes packed with enough features that will keep any child entertained. The Spectre features a very lightweight and structurally sound design that withstand high impacts, because we both know kids drop flying toys a lot. Secondly the cockpit has a full interior that has control levers and buttons. The engines on the sides can rotate in any desired direction, allowing for different poses. The last two features are the weapons. On the top you have a total of eight non firing missles, that can be opend or closed for a more compact look. On the bottom is an artilery cannon that can move both up and down and turn a full 360 degrees, but what makes the lower half interesting is that it can be customized to outfit custom creations. The last feature that really defines its' nature is that it comes equipped with two cloaking devices that areare attatched to the engines. to be more specific they are the black boxes with the red chip one the front. Overall, ths build took me just over four days to design and build. Whats even better is that this set would retail for just $20 dollars. Making it a great gift for others.

Is Galaxy Rangers an official LEGO series or a personal idea?

It's a personal idea of mine. I wanted to use this theme as part of my resume for when I apply to work at lego. That means I needed to have a schedule of steady releases, along with other multiple factors such as the price of each set (piece count and minifigures included), who the theme would be targeted at (7 and up), the form factor, and functionality. Since the series began back in January, I've been showing these models off before their release up at my college to many other students, and so far they've been a huge hit. So that makes me very happy. I've also become our schools resident for making everything lego. lol I actually have a few doctor who commissions coming up soon. Keep your eyes peeled.

Oh yes, I have indeed seen the movie. I plan on getting the newer version of benny's spaceship when it releases this summer. The spaceship scene was just one of the many awesome parts of that film. I can't for it to come to blue ray or dvd.

I'd be willing to bet that there will be a limited edition minifigure that comes with it as well.
