Because he made Peach and Rosalina, the third princess has to be turned to a giantess. And he didn't wanted:

Ok, why is daisy mad at luigi? According to nintendo (SSBB & Mario Kart Wii) she's dating him. Yes it is official, so don't complain that I just ruined this pic for you.
