I think the chicken comes first because all lifeforms started out as a single cell organisms in the primordial soup about 4.6 billion years ago (that how old the planet Earth is) and they didn't laid eggs to reproduce, they multiplied. I think the animals started laying eggs around the Paleozoic Era. Some of the chicken and other birds' earliest ancestors were reptiles. I said that the chicken comes first.
