I love birds, they look right out of fantasy. Do you plan ahead what you're going to draw or do you start with a shape and then it looks like something (maybe a bird) and so you you design the rest of it to be a bird?

the vines with leaves coming down with her hair are wonderful. It's a very nice touch that these straight lines are repeated elsewhere, like off the top tree, the bird's chin and the other bird's torso. THey look almost like they're made of a sticky gelatinous substance and could lose shape at any moment.Β

Thanks! I was attempting to try a different style. Honestly, whenever I feel like drawing, I just let my imagination flow without really much thought about it but I do start with a shape first then fill out the spaces with scribbles and whatever my hand decides to do.
