Description
I ended up using over 100 feathers to create this little guy (or girl - take your pick). It's handmade paper mache and trimmed peacock feathers. A bit more expensive to create than my other bird masks.More pics & price: www.etsy.com/listing/183510312…

Thanks. The paper mache, yes. Peacock feathers are easy to work with though. Just some trimming and layering. They're so naturally beautiful. A little expensive though.

Thanks Prim. I like this one too. I was going to finish two at the same time but it took more blue feathers than I thought, so the second is on hold. Ah well, someone wants a dark fairy mask so I'm working on that until more blue arrive.

Ty. A little non toxic white glue in with the flour/water paper mache paste and hot glue/jewelers glue for the feathers and embellishments.

Thanks! The beak got a little warped during forming it but otherwise I'm really pleased.

You're welcome I think it's the beak that really makes the piece - it has a natural, textured look and is really something quite different. It was one of the things that caught my eye (along with the gorgeous colours.)
