LOL i know it bugs me too.. I think it is more dangerous for the cat that way who cares about the birds - thats natural for cats to hunt. But with the bells on her neck she could get caught or found easier by predators like dogs or other animals. Also if she climbs a tree and her collar catches on something she will get stuck. Shes not my cat though so I cant really do anything.

Cats hear 50 times better than a human , imagine yourself with a church bell attached to your neck. Would like that sound constantly in you ears? That's real torture for the cat ... , still as you said there's nothing u can do
