Description
Just a random creature created in Silent Hill style. I'm debating on adding fluids or not... Everything was modelled and created using Autodesk MAYA. I actually held off doing any post editing within Photoshop so no level bumps or touch-ups, just the logo was added. Textures are pictures of rusty pipes, some had crackingly paint which really added a cool effect.Related content

Thanks! I'm glad you like it, to be honest, the key for things like this is the lighting. Since I used only 3 area lights, you have to make sure you adjust them correctly and that your materials are also adjusted accordingly. Neat tricks in Photoshop while creating the textures really goes far. One of my special tricks has to do with the specular mapping, I only use this trick when dealing with organics and certain materials. The one I will tell you is with your lighting, there is no such thing as true black, shadow colors are the darkest blue you can make them. Also sometimes I'll cheat to get the grainy texture instead of doing it in my texture. I'll just crank the resolution down in the depth map shadows, simple and renders faster.

Interesting...though I don't know if Pyramid Head is actually leadership, merely a recurring manifestation that haunts people.
