Why did Ashfur go to the Dark Forest and not Star Clan?

He is alive at this drawing.
I have a theory that he was trained with Mapleshade in the Dark Forest. This can explain why his character has changed so sharply. And why he sought to kill the Squirrelflight's family for revenge, just like Mapleshade did. Perhaps she lured him to her side when he was in despair when Tigerstar killed his mother. She could promise him to teach him the same techniques that Tigerstar taught, and then gradually gain his trust.
My new animation project, for which this art is drawn, will be based on this theory.
