I bought a $1 polaroid camera today and some very expensive film.Polaroids are strangely addictive. They combine the "see-it-now" part of digital photography with finite, physical, tangible parts of film photography.

david lynch (blue velvet, wild at heart, twin peaks, lost highway, straight story, mulholland drive). the polaroid reminded of the aesthetics in some of his films (all those red curtains i guess).
his paintings are pretty different.
i've been having a little lynch season lately, after reading a book about him.

I read a photography book a while ago and one of the shots was this polaroid of these backlit blue-ish curtain gently blowing in the breeze. Very beautiful inspiration.

yea i know, i got a cheapy polaroid cam too, but the film is so damn expensive, oh and theres this neat little thing in jpg magazine about polaroids, you should check it out

But they are soooo addicting. It's like the heroin of photography. And it's not much cheaper on ebay.
