I decided to finish a sketch I made a while ago. Plus I got to practice with backgrounds which was fun. I want to upload more finished pictures like this tbh because I really like how this turned out. The water and wings aren't as good as I would like but heyo gotta practice til' you're good! Anyways, you guys have any advice or critique, feel free to comment!Related content

Oh wow, I really do love this! It looks so nice, nicer than most things I see actually. One thing that does kinda bother me is how the character and the background don't really... go together? The background looks wonderful, so does the character, but I think it would look even better if the two looked similar. The character looks polished, while the background looks very scruffy. It would look quite interesting if they both looked polish and clean or a bit messy.
Another thing, since the background looks like it's in a more sunset or sunrise time of day, the orange and yellow colors could be reflected against the character more, just so they look like they blended together more.
Overall, I think this piece is wonderful. You always seem to be improving! <3

Thank you for the critique! I do agree, the art style used for the character and background don't go as well as they could together, but hey, still learning haha. While I've been using Paint Tool Sai for a long time, there are still plenty of things I have to learn about the software, including a good way to add reflections and lighting as you mentioned.
