Good to see some recognition of this cartoon. I love the concept, humor and the characters however they should have executed it better than just another Scooby clone. Definitely deserves a reboot if done right. Anyway, they look great in your style.

Awesome! They should definitely do a tv series of this using your animation.

Very nice indeed. This was one of my favorite shows when I was six. Just re-watched an episode -- did NOT age well. I think your pic does more justice to the series than it really deserves.

I know what you mean. That's why I think certain thing's need a remake, reboot, remix whatever... good or interesting idea shouldn't just die. Thanks for looking!!!

I can remember what first appealed to me about the showβthe idea of a monster being on the good guysβ side. I still think itβs a good idea. It was just the execution that was sooooo lame.
While I was watching the episode online, it made me think of Matt Groeningβs pronouncement upon Saturday Morning cartoons. He said they were proof that adults hate children.
But, I agree, if βFangfaceβ was rebooted by the right filmmakers, it could still work.

I thought a lot of episodes were pretty good (it's only the 15-minute long episodes they should have worked with better). I liked a lot of jokes it had, the characters, and some of the situations, and it even inspired me to pursue writing and drawing.
And if you really want proof that adults hate children, look at what they're putting on TV now (let alone some of the animated movies the Nostalgia Critic has reviewed).
I think it deserves a re-boot, only they should ask the fans what they'd like to see, what to add, what to leave out, and what should be kept alone. ...And God forbid they make a live-action movie. (It would be cool, but the way they're making live-action movies based off cartoons... no, just no)

I agree about the live-action movie idea. Whenever they try to do that with cartoons, they try to make the live-action look cartoony and that NEVER works. They should either make it a cartoon or make a live-action movie based on the concept of the good werewolf not a self-conscious life action based on the cartoon show. Does that make sense?

I think I see what you're getting at. Like making a movie about what the creators themselves imagined and could see in the cartoon, not what the producers would see someone on fanfiction create (that's what a lot of the live-action movies seem like to me at least).

Exactly. Also, most of these filmed cartoons are just there to bank on nostalgia without much thought given to the quality of the material. A good exception is the 2009 Star Trek film--although it was, on one level, a calculated move to "cash in" on nostalgia for the original series and its films, it also cared about the source material. End result a fun quality that stayed true to the fan's love of the series. An exception to the rule, but one that can, from time to time, be repeated.

Never really watched Star Trek or seen the movie, but sounds like a good point. I think the only live-action movie based on an old cartoon, that didn't get on my nerves, was Fat Albert--- only they did something different. Rather than just making the characters 'real', they made it to where the actual cartoons entered the real-world and had to learn about the new technology, new type of scenery, etc. and learned that, the longer they stayed in reality, the more they changed from their regular cartoon-selves (as well as fade away if they stayed too long)and even gave Bill Cosby a cameo. I never really watched Fat Albert, but I did see a documentary about it (though I may pull up some episodes just to have a stable comparison).
I agree with your judgement. If Hollywood focused more on the source-material than their own 'modern-day' ideas, their movies would not only be a hit, but also give people an idea on how much nostalgia meant to those growing up with the shows.

Awesome pic. Has a dark-theme to it, yet very well-drawn.
