Description

Got into Transformers lately, and my crossover goblin brain decided to throw around the idea of Bee (from Bee and Puppycat) being a Pretender bot. So, this came about. Mostly based on the Earthspark continuity, because I felt like she'd fit in a little better there TBH. Basically, in this AU, pretenders are a type of transformer invented by Dr. Byrd because he wanted to build his ideal child (super strong and adaptable, but also able to live a normal life if they so wish), with Bee being the original Pretender. There were other blank protoforms made, but a Decepticon raid on his old lab accidentally disseminated the 20-something robot children across the planet, not to awaken and start their lives until they scan a human (or in the case of Bee a sufficiently humanlike alien).

Edit: Forgot to mention, but the idea of infant-like protoforms turning into essentially robotic baby mimics is based on Sari from TFA. In this AU, she's one of Bee's "sisters," scanned from a human engineer.
