The first of several Pocahontas sketches I intend to do for She donated a lot of points to me the other day and I told her I'd give her some request sketches if she wanted them in return. She asked for something from Pocahontas, and I have several things I have been wanting to draw from Pocahontas, this being the first of many. So this is dedicated to you dear!
Based on the moment from the movie where she throws herself over John Smith to stop his execution.
Pocahontas: If you kill him, you'll have to kill me, too.
Powhatan: Daughter, stand back.
Pocahontas: I won't! I love him, Father.
Pocahontas: Look around you. This is where the path of hatred has brought us.
Pocahontas: This is the path I choose, Father. What will yours be?

First off, I can tell you that I find absolutely NOTHING to fix. NOTHING. Everything is perfect. She does not look like she's squishing him with the way she's around him which is good. Her hair is so beautiful! Her face proportions are just the right length and width. and WOW does it shine with love and protection and bravery and her willingness to sacrifice her life to save John's!! I can see it so clear, especially in her eyes! I cannot stop looking at them!

A woman decides to place her head under the hammer in her father's hand and is willing to die with the man she loves. She finds that she love him more than her own life and must show it to her father.
This is just one of the most romantic moments in any movie.
