Well, I don't think the fusion influence the name, think about it, Gogeta never really said his name in (what we can call "canon) Dragon Ball, actually, without GT, he never even existed, and Gotenks never had a potara fusion, and again, Vegetto is not even Vegeta+Goku, it's Vegeta+Kakarotto, which is so weird and no-sense, so I don't believe there's a rule for that (by the way, Bulchi sounds better to me)
