Description
This piece wasn't intended to be here in the first place, i made it for my best friend who was moving away to Canada and he liked the stuff i did a lot, so i thought what the hell, let's make him one especially for him.

There isn't really a story behind this one, i had this feeling of distance and you know, i was trying to represent that emotion into it, after all, there is almost a whole continent between us, also we talked a lot about the future, what was going to happen and all that stuff, so in a way this is my representation of the future, the one i printed out to him had this phrase attached "the future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams" which if I'm correct belongs to Eleanor Roosevelt; in was my way of telling him to never give up and to take advantage of that new step in his life.

Enough yapping, onto the technical stuff

The terrain was done in terragen.
It was a 3308 x 2481 render with no clouds, about 15 hours rendering.
I had to make it that size because i printed it.
The clouds come form [link] , he has a really cool cloud set.
The satellite and the city are stock photos found in [link]
Photomanipulation, color adjustments, lighting and every extra thing was done in good ol' Photoshop CS2, around 35 hours of work.
