Description
Another drawing of my version of the Norse goddess, Skadi.I'll pretend that I drew this because it's winter and I figured it would be fitting to draw the goddess of winter, but you all know I just wanted to draw the babe, so there goes that.
Did this as one of version of the same picture. The other version will be linked below, alongside my first piece of her done around 7 months ago and with further design descriptions:
While the goddess does not belong to anyone, the art and design concept still belongs to me, and all kinds of theft is prohibited.
As always, comments are greatly appreciated! ^^

Haha, what is wrong with drawing the babe even if its not winter? ;D
I still find this such OC interesting - she is a nice mixture of royalty and fighter.
Is the magpie part of her design?

Oh, nothing at all in my opinion. ;D
It just sounded a bit better than: "I wanted to draw some boobs and a pretty face, so here goes". Hehe. xD
Skadi is a very special goddess in my opinion because she has ties to all the three major 'families' of the norse pantheon. But at the same time she becomes very seperate from all of them. So I see her has kind of a royal fighter. Definitely a huntress and a strong woman.
And the magpie is a Danish reference that I like to draw her with. The Danish name for 'Skadi' is 'Skade' which also means 'magpie'. (It also means 'damage' or 'injury'). Her father was known to transform into a great eagle (there's a lot of shapeshifting in norse mythos) so I figured his daughter could be related to a different type of bird.

Oh, we all love to do draw busty human anatomies~
Wow, I've never been into Norse mythology as much since they are less heard of (it's always the Greek mythologies that people talk about). I've heard of Sleipnir and Loki before, but are they part of the Norse mythology?
Now that you described the background of the goddess more, I can see why you design her like that!

Haha, yeah.
Norse Mythology is probably my favorite mythos. I even carry a silver mjΓΆlnir, the hammer of thor, around my neck. ^^
Sleipnir is the fastest horse in the world. It belongs to Odin, has eight-legs, and Loki actually gave birth to it.
Loki is a trickster god. God of lies, deceit and fire. He's originally a good enough fellow, just a bit too back-handed for his own good.

Wow, you really do love Norse Mythology! What exactly is the story of Thor about (aside from the popular Avengers version)?

Hehe, yeah I enjoy it quite a bit.
And the Avengers/Marvel version of Thor is complete bullshit! (If you'll forgive the foul language. Hehe.)
It's based very losely on Norse mythology and honestly does a terrible job at it, in my opinion.
There are many actual tales about Thor as he is one of the most prominent of the northern gods. He's an Aesir and son of Odin. He's the god of thunder, war/strife/combat and he rides across the worlds in a chariot pulled by a couple of great rams. He's always been described as big, red-haired and aggressive.
And while he has many foes, his most typical nemesis is Jormundgandr, the Midgard Serpent.

I like the expression of the character and the way it's colored! I also like the bird

Thank you. I'm glad you like it.
I always had a thing for magpies, hehe.
