this was my first acrostic, not to mention a-z...... pic done in photoshop

A curtain of black velvet billows and drapes across the heavens,
Blanketing humanity in a desolate obscurity in which faith becomes leaven,
Celestial beings emanate to obtain safe haven among the ebony seams,
Daintily on display from which their ambient light beams,
Entwined they are held by tendrils of silk and lace,
Forever seized and frozen within their lawful place,
Godwards they linger to populate the folds,
Haphazardly located with mankind’s morals they uphold,
Immobilized they give witness to man’s unrelenting plights,
Jasper and sardine stones they resemble with their prism lights,
Knell for those whom willingly lend ear,
Laments conceived from a single tear,
Martyrs they therefore become for the righteous and chaste,
Noble they are bound with no essence of haste,
Omniscient they are to each reverie and inclination,
Patron saints to intrinsic worth and inspiration,
Quiescently they sit in their firmament abodes,
Readily they wait with affluences yet to be bestowed,
Sustained by the sole promise of man’s salvation alone,
Tribute for what one must ultimately concede and atone,
Uninhibitedly they are constructed on the remnants of a soul’s final purge,
Vacuous and frivolous minds long at last diverge,
Wherewith whimsical innovations arise,
Xanthous fragments of gems comprise,
Yearning to join in the tapestry above,
Zealous is he that is swathed in love.
