One of the things I love about this piece is the atmosphere. It's grim, spooky, creepy - and I can just imagine those lights beginning to flicker at any moment. The highlights are just enough to show us the scene while keeping it shrouded in shadow and mystery.
I like how you took stock that appears to have been intended as being for recreations of Samara from "The Ring" and added the hair and the red glinting eye in order to create something wholly new. The blend there is wonderfully done. But as creepy as that figure staring at us through the open window is, the two ghost boys on the train are infinitely more frightening. The one to the left of frame appears to have dark holes where his eyes should be, extending down to his cheeks. The one to the right of frame is couched far enough into the background that it's hard to see any detail about his face, though. The fact that the light doesn't seem to really touch on them - such as shining off of their hair - makes them appear even more to be mere apparitions.
(On a side note: the bottom of the window, the part that's slid up into the top of the door - the lines aren't parallel. I realize that this might have been done to indicate warping. In that event, may I suggest adding some wrinkles in that part in order to better indicate that perhaps the window had been pried upward by a hand reaching underneath and yanking.)
Another thing that stands out are the bloody foot and hand prints in the middle of the train, and the one hand print on the window frame at the door. The only critique I have there is that the shape of the footprints is not anatomically correct for a human. But perhaps the creature you're painting is only humanoid and not human...
The stains on the chairs closest to the front of frame are also well done. They really add to the overall haunting quality of the image.
I must say that I really do love the way that the elements all blend together so well in this. Really beautiful work, and I do wish you luck in the contest!

When I first saw this work I was not too surprised. The scheme did catch my attention, though. In my attempt to see it more carefully I zoomed in, and I was amazed by the detail. The effect this drawing has really helps the mood of the piece, and the details on the seats are worth nothing too. The lighting, plain amazing. This work is great overall taking in count the structure of the train. The only thing that rests points to this artwork is the creature in the center; I do not know if it was intended to stand out, but it doesn't. Also, it somehow seems awkward in the piece. Again, I don't know if it was intended or not. Overall, great piece.

THIS WAS AWESOME!!! BUT TO BE HONEST, I WAS CONFUSE WITH THE POSE OF THE MODEL. IF I HADN'T LOOKED IN THE DESCRIPTION, I WOULDN'T HAVE NOTICED HER CRAWLING IN THE WINDOW.. BUT OVERALL WORK AND ENVIRONMENT WAS AWESOME! ALSO, THIS COULD BE A MOVIE POSTER OR A GAME POSTER...
