orginally this was going to be a Noctis/Stella & Tifa/Cloud piece, but it wasn't looking right.

My two favorite girls! They look great there!
And they really look alike! When I first saw Stella, I immediately saw the resemblance. Stella's like Tifa with blonde hair.

I thought the same thing.
When i saw the back view of Stella in the trailer, almost immediatly I thought of the back view of Tifa in AC(C) during her fight with Loz.

Funny thing is that the girls and the guys just interchanged colors. Noctis/Tifa (Black hair), Stella/Cloud (Blonde hair)

and their love for "big" swords, although i suppose Noctis sword is a pretty reasonable size.
its odd, I know that Lightning is based off Cloud, but I didnt really see much of Cloud in Lightning. But I see more of Noctis in Cloud than Lightning. Even though the creators said Noctis wouldn't have a "Cloud" or "Squall" persona. Honestly, I dont see Cloud or Noctis having the same personality. Even though i do believe Cloud was shy as a child, up to the start of FF7. From what i can tell of Noctis personality now, he tends to act shyly around others...with the exception of his friends. But we do see him interact shlyly around Stella in the cutscene, and for some reason I think Cloud acted pretty shlyly around Tifa.
Although some 'Tifa & Cloti-haters' say they weren't even best/childhood friends. Despite the promise.

The big swords...Gotta love them. But, yeah, Noctis' is a reasonable size compared to Cloud's sword which is as large as him.
I don't see much of Cloud in Lightning. Well, maybe a little, but there's no big similarities aside from the personalities. Well, Lightning acts more of Squall to me as well.
Cloud was a shy child, especially when around Tifa, and we all know that one of the reason is because of his big crush on her. I'm glad the creators didn't give Noctis a "Cloud-like" personality. I'm liking this shy character of his, which he hides under a cool facade. It was so cute when he interacted shyly around Stella in the cutscene. At least, we know that Noctis won't be a gloomy, lonely boy like Cloud.
Speaking of shy, Tifa is quite an emotionally shy character too. She locks her feelings in her heart, as she remains cheerful and bright on the outside. I know it's a different type of shyness, but I still think it's what make Noctis and Tifa similar in a way. Aside from personalities, their physical features are worth noting. The dark hair and the eyes...Noctis' eyes turned red in battle, kinda like Tifa's eye color in some of the official artworks.
To hell with the detractors...Even the magazines say that Cloud and Tifa are childhood friends. It was also stated in-game. Who are they to deny canon? Cloud and Tifa are childhood friends. End of Discussion.

I read somewhere Paine (X-2) was based of Squall...I can sort of see it.
True, but at the same time he isn't necessary a womanizer like Zidane (and possiably Tidus was). Locke in a sense was more like Cloud both having survivors guilt.
Tifa is shy, but at the same a person must be blind not to see that she is in love with Cloud. She may not be extreamly obvious like Aerith was (with her interest in Cloud, even though I believe she was only interested in him because of Zack...I have to admit i rolled my eyes quite a bit in the CxA scenes), but at the same time...I may be wrong (because its been ages since i've played FF7) but it seemed like the other party members knew of her feelings. Of course, there is the famous "under the airship" scene.
What about who is the main couple for FFVII (just the game, no spinoffs or movie verse). Honestly from an unbias eye I can't really say. I know some people would say its CxA, and I know some people would say its TxC. Honestly, I think the only way the whole love triangle debate will be settled if Cloud kisses one of them or says 'I love you.' But as far as I know, he hasn't done either, and I havent heard of any sequels to DOC.
But on the bright side of things at least they are more cannon in Dissida.

The important thing is the CLOTI is canon, made obvious by 3 ultimanias already. Cid, Barret and the others...They were all aware of Tifa's feelings. I remember Cid and Barret talking Tifa being the one wearing the pants in the family in the Case of Barret Novel. It simply implies that TifaxCloud are together Pre-AC. And it's obvious that they're still together even in Dirge of Cerberus, taking care of the children.
I simply love the moment in the Dissidia, though I wished something more happened there. But it was presented beautifully.

I dont necessary believe FFVII was meant to have one "cannon" couple. In some respects AxCxT reminds me of the love triangle in VI between Rachel (the dead finace), Locke, and Celes. Locke having suvivors guilt, decides to save Celes, but at the same time even though he wanted to bring back Rachel, he also decided to move on with Celes. After Rachel'let him go'
Regardless of C x A relationship in the game or lack of one. I dont believe they actually did anything or were in a relationship...i believe its more pre relationship. the flirtation on Aeriths part. However, Cloud did suffer from survivors guilt in FFVII with Aerith (and Zacks death) and that was evident in AC(C).At the the end of AC(C) it seems like Rachel (VI) she forgave Cloud and "let him go" so he could move on.
its funny about Dissida, because in the first game, people will say he 'loves' Aerith in it, but Dissida 012 is the prequel to that game....its obvious that is more Cloti.

Going through FFVII game, I never once felt that CxA were in a relationship. It seemed to be leaning more on CLOTI, and I was just a little kid back then who's zero knowledge in love and romance.
LockexCeles...One of my fave couples, and I really felt for Locke and his guilt over Rachel. Survivor's guilt...I know what you mean.
Dissidia 012 was CLOTI all over. I didn't really feel any CxA in the first Dissidia though. That's just me.

I think she wanted to be in a relationship with him, and it was obviously so. That i even had to roll my eyes durring a couple of the scene...but I dont think Cloud necessary wanted to be in a relationship. He cared for her, but I didn't necessary see love.
Mine as well, to bad 6 isn't that popular compared to the games that came after it.
From what I can remember, they said that the flowerfield represented Aerith. I believe another one had to do with the stars. I cant quite remember the rest...
but compared Cloud's "dying thoughts" were of Tifa and not of Aerith.

the flower field...Well, Aerith was the flower girl, so it's natural to conclude it immediately as an Aerith thing. It could have also pertained to Squall since the ending scene of FFVIII also featured a field of flowers.
The materia was also said that it resembled Aerith's holy materia, however, SQ never said so, unlike with Squall and the feather, which they've specifically stated to be a reminder of Rinoa.
But Cloud's will, the act of care, and the sacrifice he made were all about Tifa...and his dying wish...pleading to Cosmos to protect Tifa...That was the most touching.
Cloud cares for Aerith. It's a given fact. But I don't see the love from his side.
I want an FFVI remake. It's such a great game!!! Love the plot and the characters. I even like Kefka!

well VIII, the flowerfield represented the promise he made to Rinoa.
I doubt the whole materia thing as well, materia was used constantly in their world. Of course we didn't see to much to materia being used in AC(C) and DOC. I have never really played CC, but i've seen clips.
Your the first person besides myself that wants to see a remake VI. Although, truthfully I saw the Celes more of the main herione that Terra.

FFVI really deserves a remake. With the amazing plot, in-depth characters, music and battles, it's so worth it.

or a CG render of Locke. I've been dying to a see Locke's face in HQ. But sadly we only see the back of his head. I heard supposedly he was suppose to be in Dissida, but they chose Terra.

i heard they chose Terra because she was closer to Kefta or something. I belive she was the only female on the Cosmos side during the first game.
Although, I think they should have chosen Rinoa over Laguna. She was closer to Ultemica than him. Other than choice, i didnt mind the new charcters.
Sure I would have love to see Locke, Celes, or Garnet/Dagger...but for the most part they chose correctly.

they kind of do, but I have always felt Stella has a stronger resembleance to Tifa than any other FF female.
