Description Castor bean tick (Ixodes ricinus). One female can produce more than 2000 eggs (sometimes almost 6000).

Nom, zdaje się, że tego ściągnęliśmy ze znajomego kota
Generalnie najwięcej znajdywaliśmy na jeżach. Z jednego osobnika dawało się ściągnąć i kilkadziesiąt sztuk.

Congratulations!
I'm still "fighting" with my PhD project about bark beetles. My wife, Kornelia, has finished her work on entomopathogenic nematodes. Now she is better than me

Oh wow that sounds fascinating O.O. I am currently writing up my work so I can hand it in and hope for the best . How do you manage to photograph these animals? the positioning and detail are amazing!

Most of these "exotic" for Europe species are our pets, but some were photographed during our trips.
If you work a lot with insects, you know where and how find them and take the most interesting shot
...a lot of luck is also needed
