Description
"Beyond the Fields of Asphodel, where the souls wander in sorrow,
beyond the Acheron waters,
there I will wait for your return.
I walk away around shadows,
listening moans of pain and despair,
but the voices of thousand ghouls
will not ease your memory in my head.
And now that leaves fall around Earth,
a golden carpet will lead you to me.
And with the cold wind of the winter,
six pomegranate seeds do their duty.
Here, deep in the Underworld
you will find our ebony throne,
and your voice of promises and whishes
will bring life to the eternal dreamers."
My own version of Hades & Persephone. In the picture I portrayed they both, with Cerberus. At the left we can see Charon in his boat and the river Acheron, and in the other side the river Phlegethon, made of fire.
There's a step by step of this one here: [link]
Done in Photoshop.

I'm amazing how realistic and how much detailed work went into this image. Although I'm sure the hours were long, it was most definitely worth it. I like the fact that the viewer's focus goes right to Persephone's face, since its probably the only thing out of place in hades. I say wonderful job with that. The image is well balanced, not to mention very appealing to look at ^_^
this is a beautiful image.

Oooo, I like! Greek mythology was a favorite of mine in school, and the story of these two always sort of captured my attention.
I love how you portrayed Hades; such a handsome looking young man. Persephone is exactly how I would have imagined her, but I love the little detail of new grasses growing beneath her feet ^^
lol, that's the first time I've ever seen Cerberus as actual dog size versus mammoth beast.
Great job! Total !

Aww, this is very good! I'm a sucker for historical accuracy, though, and that's not how the Greeks would have dressed, but it's still really good.

It's beautiful. Yeah, I love how Hades is looking at Persephone with love (but also possessiveness).

I must admit, my favorite thing about this work is the fact that Persephone doesn't look bothered by being the wife of Hades. As it should be... she feared him at first, but she grew to love him. I also adore how you did Cerberus with different expressions.

Your shot at Pers. and Hades is rather excelled. Most people try to portray the fact that Pers either hates Hades, or Love him to the ends of the earth.
Meanwhile, what I see is that you just posed them as if they were just in a family photo. Mutual feelings.
About the art itself. If I look past it all, I mean the depth of the feeling, and become another giddy girl....
The art in itself is complex, and gives that slight foreboding feel. The three headed wolf and the grass compares to what and how they are different from eachother.
Not to mention the above all detail in the picture. <33 Total favorited.
PS: I enjoy the lighting around Pers. You gave her a dark surrounding, but continued with her Heavenly aura.

Very beautiful and detailed! I concentrated on the pic before I read your comment and the poem. Which I find very fitting, yours?
Persephone is very beautiful. That you have grass growing underneath her feet and flowers in her hair is a nice touch with her being the daughter of the goddess of harvest. Also her dress is amazing!
Hades is gorgeous he looks like a knight in that amor. I always imagined him wearing black and really dark red but that green does fit him better, especially with Persephone at his side. He has an interesting expression... he looks kind of dazed looking at Persephone. Considering he hasnΒ΄t seen her for half a year thatΒ΄s understandable
Cerberus looks more wolflike than dog but thatΒ΄s fine. He looks awesome.
I find it funny that one head looks like "One step closer and IΒ΄m gona eat you" while the other two seem totally relaxed. Reminds me a bit of Runespores, a three headed serpent. Its left head is the planner. The middle head is the dreamer and the right head is the critic and there for more aggressive.
Charon is all business isnΒ΄t he lol looks great and so does the background.
Amazing picture!

Beautiful. Persephone certainly has a certain glow of life to her. I love the faces though. He looks like he does actually care, and she looks like she's toughing it out from her face. A very "Two more months and I can go" expression.
