Description
Every night with a clock in her hand she walks on the ruins of the ancient lake.Every night she waits and hopes that the promise once made will be kept.
Sometimes when walking gently from stone to stone, a cold night breeze whispers in her ear and touches
softly her long black hair. Then she shivers, cold in her madness, when the night wind speaks with his warm voice.
But he never came and never will.

Painted with photoshop and a lot of coffee. This one took me a lot of time, and I really couldn't stop adding things.

Beautiful yet scary eyes for the dude... Almost souless and evil! Especially the birds or the bats or whatever they are add to this feeling and seem to link to the guy. Yet the flowers and mist seem to link to the girl in her fragile beauty!

I never thought about this, often I do elements that I feel they have to be there, and it's nice to see a more rational interpretation, and I agree, maybe that's the reason why I made those elements

A wonderful piece, with just enough detail brought tentatively out of the darkest of shadows. Well framed too, the focus of the image sits nicely and I like the little strands of hair blowing against the vast background. Nice job!

The man in armor is Noldo or even Maya, Vala essence for me. Though in strange dangerous form not a person I would trust as this girl did.

I love the soft light and the realistical skin - it's really impressing. Your small details such as the golden decorations in her skirt makes the pictures look absolutely awesome.
The only parts I'm not too fond of are the shiny lake (I think it draws my eyes too much into the lower left part of the picture) and her left hands wrist. While not made badly (I really love the coloring - very, very realistic), it doesn't have the same kind of wrist as her right hand, or atleast the bone isn't as visible.
I must thank you for putting such great paintings here on deviant. :] They're always very nice to look at.

I think the cut between the two parts is that the concept originally had them two without the rest, I realized in the last days that the problem is the sky which has a loss of glowing energy and saturation to balance.
But I'm very afraid of ruining the mood, so I'll correct the thing s very carefully
