Description:- A lantern lit by the flames of wisdom created by the dragon Zaersus.

The smoke from fires will transform those who breathe it for an extended period into draconian creatures. The transformation will be sped up if the person reads books and learns.

The draconian creatures have the ability to suck written words out of books that the Scentia dragons have not created. The draconians will always have an enhanced desire to learn more information.

While in the Library of Zaersus, to keep an equal number of both genders of draconians, the transformed people may experience a gender change.

History:- To most, dragons are known to be hoarders of gold and other jewels, but there are different species of dragons that hoard other precious things, such as those who hoard knowledge called the Scentia Dragons.

The Scentia dragons have two unique abilities, the first being to suck words out of books, leaving them as a set of blank pages. Elder Scentia dragons who have mastered this skill can inhale a portion of the ink that makes up the words on the page, which leaves words in books instead of leaving them as blank pages.

The second ability is to breathe flames of wisdom that do not burn people. Instead, they fill their minds with knowledge. However, a mortal can only be exposed to the fire for a few seconds because their heads will explode with information. The dragons can also use this skill to breathe their knowledge into books. While other Scentia dragons could absorb the words created by Scentia dragons, the words would never leave the books, unlike the books produced by man.

The Scentia dragons tend to be peaceful creatures that travel the world using their knowledge of magic to disguise themselves as human. On their travels, the dragons absorb knowledge from the places they visit to feed themselves and leave their books behind, hoping that those who read the book will become wiser and make their books, which the dragons will then absorb on their next pass.

Some Scentia dragons have an extremely strong desire for more knowledge, leading them to perform more drastic measures such as breaking into libraries and hoarding all the books for themselves. Within these Scentia dragons was an older dragon called Zaersus, who developed a honeypot strategy to fill his hunger.

Zaersus used his powers to turn his cave into a vast library of books containing Zaersus’s knowledge. To light his library, Zaersus filled it with unique lanterns lit with his flames of knowledge, which was the key to his scheme.

Since the risk of head exploding is too high, it was never tested what would happen if a human was exposed to Scentia dragon flames for a long time. But in his quest for more knowledge, Zaersus had.

While the Scentia dragon flames were dangerous to mortals, the smoke they produced was not. In fact, Zaersus had noticed that being exposed to the smoke for decades had shown signs of humans growing scales, a sign of draconification.

In Zaersus’s Library in a cave with poor ventilation, Zaersus intended to speed up the transformation progress, turning all that were reading and learning (which sped the transformation even more) into human/Scentia dragon hybrids, Scentia dragonians.

The Scentia draconians possessed some of the skills of the Scentia dragons, such as their ability to suck words out of books and their desire for more knowledge, which for the draconians, was like an unending hunger.

Using the dragonian’s hunger for knowledge, Zaersus sent them out into the world, getting them to collect knowledge for him, and in return, Zaersus would give the dragonians more access to his libraries of knowledge.

The dragonians started to scour the land in their quest for more knowledge, which caused other Scentia dragons to become aware of the draconian's presence.

Some Scentia dragons tried to replicate Zaersus’s idea, but most Scentia dragons were kind-hearted creatures who nurtured their draconian counterparts and taught them how to control their thirst for knowledge until they could return to normal civilisation.

The Scentia draconians spend most of their time travelling the world, collecting and sharing knowledge with humans and Scentia dragons.

As for Zaersus, it is said that the dragon reached the pinnacle of knowledge and turned into an ethereal being who now flies through dimensions, absorbing knowledge everywhere they go.
