Description
A starship I envisioned for the upcoming game "Star Citizen"."Corell Machine Systems" is a fictional company that I made up.
She's fast and is packed full with missiles.

It looks very nice, although it feels more like a fighter than a spaceship. The wheels strenghten this feeling and it also seems to have aircraft style wings, but that's hard to see from the side.
I imagine that stationary clamps would be easier and more robust and in space. You only need to deactive something like magnetic clamps to prepare for take-off, rather than using a runway. As for getting off the surface it's parked on and lining up to launch, I assume the ship needs some minor thrusters for landing anyway.

Thanks for the advice! I'm glad you took the time to comment on my ship. I appreciate it!
I'm unsure how wide the "heavy bomber" classification in Star Citizen spans.
I was inspired by the "Retaliator" starship (link here: starcitizen.wikia.com/wiki/Ret…
It does have wings, yes (4 in total). I had a fantasy about the ship flying in an atmosphere, but I mostly did it because it looked cool, and some ships do seem to have wings in the Star Citizen universe, for example the Retaliator and the 300i.
I put the wheels there because I'm not sure yet how the larger (50<) ships will operate. Will they hover via thrusters like the smaller ships in the videos we've seen thus far? My idea was that you could use the wheels to roll the ship about easily without wasting fuel.

Wings aren't bad even for spaceships, but it's better if they serve a function besides esthetics. This can be uses like functioning as weapon platforms, maneuverability (like having better placed thrusters) or for planetary deployment.
So with some backstory and possibly adding details, you can make things that not only look nice (which is also a valid goal of course), but also functional inside the context of the setting. Meaning if you say you want wheels on a spaceship, it sounds weird to me. Add the information like it being designed to also take off from the ground and is like a fighter able to fly in space, it makes sense without changing the design itself.
In any case, good luck.
PS. Also, you might want to take care when pasting links that you have a space between the link and the closing bracket (else the link won't work properly) ^^

I'll write a detailed description to the ship some day soon and I'll use the part you said with the ship being able to take off from the ground!
Thanks again
