"Hwa... hwa..." the man's chest heaved rapidly with ragged panting as he ran with his life away from the chasing fog...
-You have seen fear-
"Uff!" He fell flat faced on the ground, his foot entrapped by vines...
"No!" He pulled out his backup weapon, a small pistol he had stored in his ankle slot, pointing it at the approaching shadow, open firing.
-The fear the normal men have facing the anti-thesys of life, of the Grimms... of Death-
*BLAM! BLAM! BLAM! BLAM!* Again and again he fired but the rounds seemed to just miss the shadow "Why won't you just die?!" He yelled as he continued shooting to no effect.
-You have known fear-
Then... silence. A chill ran up his spine as a single click signaled his pistol had ran out of bullets.
He stared at his gun in horror before a silent foot step instantly drew his eyes back to where it came from.
The shadow. The Reaper.
Death.
-You have stared into the deep abyss unflinching, despite whatever it throws at you-
From the fog appears the outline of a cloaked woman, a single glowing eye burning into his soul, judging it,
He wanted to freeze "NO!" he tried to crawl backward, his limbs shaking, freezing, trapped by those silver eyes, not dare, not able to take his eyes off it... off her...
-And you thrived in it. Thriving, prospering, savoring in every minute of it, of that fear, that rush of euphoria as you faced death-
Arcs of silvered lightning shot out of the Reaper's body, crawling on the ground, to him. Ice coiled in his body, a burning ice that freezes and burns with equal vigor, causing destruction wherever it touches inside...
"N-no! Get away from me! GET AWAY!!!"
-But never have you felt something so personal like this, something so raw, so undiluted, so terrifying... so natural...-
The Reaper's lips twitched up as she raised her scythe up, ready to reap.
-Fear... True Fear...-
"NNNOOOOO!!!" He raised his hand up as to try to shield himself of what was to come, but alas, to no avail as the scythe came down, rending through skin, flesh, metal and bone with equal ease.
-For none is more frightening than a gentle person's wrath-
Darkness.
