Wish people domesticated bats and not dogs. Even though that wouldn't make sense, but it would be so cool to have one as a pet

This is a great photo... such detail. I do think bats are cute and have often thought of putting up a bat house. I have fruit trees and there are quite a few bats around here in my subdivision. I used to be afraid of them lol... Because they do bite. Which makes sense because something so small has to protect itself from something so large like us humans. Many of them do carry rabies. The same way as other rodents do. I have indoor cats, and the only time a bat would be a problem is if it got into the house somehow and had rabies.

Very cute indeed. In France, the small "pipistrelle" bats are a protected species.
Actually, rabies that bats could carry isn't caused by the exactly same virus that is found in foxes and other rodents. Then, the probability of being contamined by rabies because of a bat (either human or pets) is very low (and because a bad mutation of the virus should happen). Well, it doesn't mean that a bite isn't a bad thing
